SUMMARY:Go Kart Racing
DESCRIPTION:We’re headed back to the karting track for another day of racing!  We have reserved the kart track at Prairie City Karting (pckarting.com) for this fun filled event.  Test your driving skills against other club members as you race around the track at over 50 mph.  There are a limited number of spots available\, so sign up early. Non-members may participate in this event if sponsored by an active member.  The cost will be $100 per driver to include a pre-walk of the track along with three racing sessions.  Transponders will be used to time the your laps. Spectators are welcome and may attend at no charge.   \nAppropriate attire is jeans and sneakers\, no shorts allowed.  Jackets and helmets will be provided by the track.  You may bring your own if you so desire.  Helmets must be Snell 10 or 15.  All drivers must be at least 16-years of age and have a valid drivers license.   \nThere will be a no host BBQ after the event.  A grill will be provided.  Pack your food and drinks\, and stay and socialize with your fellow racers.  \nTo reserve your spot you must sign up on our club store page (just click the link “Store” at the top of our website) and pay a $15 deposit per driver.  You will pay the remaining $85 at the track on the day of the event.  CASH is the preferred payment method at the track.  Saturday is open track day after our club event.  If anyone would like to stay and do additional track time\, it is available for an extra fee.  Please contact us via our website if you have any questions.

DESCRIPTION:The second annual Drive the Delta is set!  Once again\, we will be headed out to drive the back roads along the Sacramento Delta as we head towards the river town of Rio Vista.  If you’ve never driven these roads you are in for quite a treat\, just ask any of us who went last year.  The route will be changed slightly from last year but rest assured we still plan on crossing the sloughs on either the J-Mack or Real McCoy ferries.  Once in Rio Vista\, we will lunch along the river at The Point restaurant. DESCRIPTION:Our annual banquet dinner is set to be one of our best ever.  This year\, the banquet will be held at the Del Paso Country Club on Marconi Ave. in Sacramento.  Come join us for a fantastic evening\, enjoying a delicious dinner\, as you overlook the club’s beautiful golf course.\nThe night will start with a no-host cocktail hour.  Beer\, wine\, and all your favorite liquors will be available for purchase.  Following the cocktail hour\, the club’s executive chef has created an incredible buffet dinner for your dining pleasure.  The buffet will include an assortment of salads and vegetables\, along with beef\, chicken\, and seafood entrees.  Dessert will follow.  For those wishing to bring their own wine\, there will be a $15.00 corkage fee.  Following dinner\, sit back and enjoy our guest speaker.\nTony Hunt has agreed to be the guest speaker at this year’s banquet.  For those wondering who Tony is\, Tony was the driver double for actor Christian Bale in the movie “Ford v Ferrari.”  Tony owns one of the cars used in the movie\, a reproduction 1963 AC Cobra roadster.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate and Tony will bring the car for display.  For those who have a special car\, I encourage you to bring it out also as the club has a long circular driveway where they can be displayed.\nAll ticket sales will be handled online only by clicking on the Store menu button at the top of our website  or directly at the link below. DESCRIPTION:We are headed back to Thunderhill Raceway Park in Willows to participate in OnGrid’s HPDE track day.  This is your chance to take your car out and see what it can do\, as you head around Thunderhill West’s two-mile track.  OnGrid will have a special run group for drivers with little or no track experience\, just as they did last year\, so that you can experience the thrill of driving your car spiritedly in a safe and controlled environment. \nOnGrid is one of many promoters of HPDE’s at various racetracks throughout the country.  As with any company\, they are always looking to increase their customer base.  In doing so\, they have a run group at this event specifically for the novice driver with little or no track experience.  Many of you participated in this event last year and we are promoting it again this year.  Please note\, neither the BMW CCA nor SVBMWCCA is sanctioning this event.  It is totally and strictly\, an OnGrid event\, in no way sponsored\, sanctioned or affiliated with either the SVBMWCCA or BMW CCA. SUMMARY:Alleghany Driving Tour
DESCRIPTION:Come join us for a driving tour to the Gold Rush town of Alleghany\, CA (population 60).  Located in Sierra County\, it has a working gold mine\, the sixteen-to-one\, that has been in operation since the Gold Rush days.  We’ll be stopping at what was the only bar in town\, which is now a “social hall” with a $5.00 membership fee.  The membership fee entitles you to a free beer.  There are no restaurants or food available so pack a lunch.    We’ll meet at Peet’s Coffee at The Fountains\, 1198 Roseville Pkwy at 9:30 a.m. and then proceed to Alleghany.

DESCRIPTION:Join us as we head to Grass Valley for their Cars and Coffee event.  We’ll be meeting up early at Peet’s Coffee at the Fountains Plaza in Roseville to run up to Grass Valley.  If you’ve never been to this Cars and Coffee\, they have a small Farmer’s Market next door\, along with fresh donuts from Daily Donuts for you to enjoy as you view the large array of cars.  For those interested\, there will be a small BBQ hosted by club members\, Steve and Kym Johnson.  They live about 23 miles northeast\, in the small town of Washington.  Food will be provided\, but please bring your beverages of choice.
